Sewing Personality To Offer Seminar at Phoenix College

On Saturday, April 19 the Phoenix
Chapter of the American Sewing Guild and the Phoenix College Fashion Design
Program will present nationally recognized sewing personality, Mary Mulari.
Mulari, a well known sewing
instructor and author, has been teaching her ideas and writing books for
almost 20 years in both the United States and Canada. She has designed
patterns for McCalls Pattern Company and embroidery cards collections
for Amazing Designs, Cactus Punch and Husqvarna Viking.
She frequently appears as
a guest on the PBS television program "Sewing with Nancy" and
as a sewing specialist on Handmade by Design, Creative Living with Sheryl
Borden and American Sews with Sue Hausmann.
She will offer a one-day seminar
showcasing techniques to improve ordinary clothing with quick-to-sew accessories
and appliqué techniques. Mulari will share ideas and special projects
showcased in her newest books Accessories with Style and Made for Travel.
Seminar fees are $55. The full
day seminar, which begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m., will include
a continental breakfast and lunch in the Dome Conference Room - Osborn
Campus.
