SYNOPSIS: Diego Hernandez was born into a family with big dreams and little money. As the years pass, Diego witnesses his parents’ marriage slowly fall apart. With the threat of divorce constantly looking over their heads, he attempts to comfort his younger brother through storytelling, reflecting on the roots that once held their family together. The film examines how a family’s quest for happiness goes awry, while illustrating the impact of materialism and loss of culture on family life. (12 min.)

Director/Producer, Daniel Tantalean, graduated from the Film and Media Production Program at ASU. As a student, he worked on more than 60 student films in four years including Sacrificios, Good Injuns, La Gallina degolladaand El Cucuy. He now lives in New York City working as an editor/cinematographer for Plywood Pictures, whose clients include the Red Cross, NYU and many more. He continues to operate his independent production company, Formatted Pictures, which is currently developing two feature films, La Voz and El Ausente.
