Welcome to the PC Psychology department.
The Psychology Department at Phoenix College was one of the first departments to be established at PC. The offerings of the department support the general education curriculum of the college, as well as the requirements of many degrees and programs. With respect to general education, the Psychology Department's courses meet the Social and Behavioral requirements for the degrees offered at PC as well as for many of those offered at the three Arizona State universities.

Mission
The Psychology Department provides academically sound courses that promote knowledge of psychological concepts, issues, methods, theories, applications, and critical thinking.
Goals
- Enable students to learn the basic principles and applications of psychology and develop critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with other departments and programs at PC and in the community to provide psychology courses that meet their needs.
- Recruit students to the psychology program for personal, social, and occupational development and for careers in psychology.
- Recruit and retain qualified faculty and staff.
- Encourage and support the professional development of the department's faculty and staff.
- Review courses, programs, faculty, and staff to ensure quality and relevance of offerings to meet the diverse student and community needs.
