Phoenix College's paralegal program can provide you with the education and training necessary to obtain entry level employment in private law firms, corporations, governmental agencies, and other organizations such as insurance companies, real estate and title insurance firms and banks.
The Paralegal Studies Program at Phoenix College is unique among the Maricopa Community Colleges and is the largest program of its kind in the state of Arizona. The Program has been approved by the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Paralegals since 1989. The American Bar Association approves paralegal education programs that meet its guidelines.
Working as a paralegal, you would perform a variety of specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible.*
We offer both a degree track and certificate track in Paralegal Studies. For those who have already earned a degree, you may be eligible for the certificate track program. For those who are still pursuing their first degree, you may earn an Associate in Applied Science degree.
*Except as specifically permitted by the Supreme Court of Arizona, persons not admitted to the State Bar of Arizona are prohibited from practicing law.
