SUPPORTING QUALITY HEALTH CARE THROUGH QUALITY INFORMATION
Health Information Management
The trained graduates of our Health Information Management programs know there is a high demand for their services in the fast-growing health care industry. With professionals as their teachers and experience gained in internships, our students are ready to use their skills of data collection, analysis, and medical coding in such areas as billing, compliance and data quality.
The HIT AAS Degree Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM), and provides eligibility to take the RHIT examination. Our certificate program in Hospital Coding is approved by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Since 2008, 100% of graduates who have taken the RHIT certification exam passed it on their first attempt. Earning your RHIT certification not only increases your earning potential, but healthcare employers value the certification because it demonstrates competency and the wide-range of knowledge possessed by the RHIT.
The mission of the HIM Programs is to provide quality education to individuals seeking entry-level employment, career enhancement and personal enrichment in the management of health information. The Programs are dedicated to responding to community needs and to technology advancements affecting the health care industry.
