Program Information
Our program is the first massage program to be offered at an Arizona community college. This affordable program is designed to provide the essential skills to become a bodywork practitioner. Curriculum focuses on integration of the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of our students. The Student Massage Practice Center provides a hands-on opportunity for students to improve their skills in a professional-type atmosphere under the guidance of a licensed therapist/instructor. Program Schedule and Length
Students must complete 15 credits of prerequisites prior to admission into the Core program. The Therapeutic Massage Program includes both Certificate of Completion and AAS degree pathways.

Cost
The cost of the certificate program is approximately $3,200*
The cost of the AAS degree program is approximately $4,900*.
Financial Aid is available for qualifying students.

Licensure Process
Upon completion of the certificate program or AAS degree in Therapeutic Massage, students are eligible to apply for Arizona State Licensure. As of January 2005, a license is required in order to practice massage in the State of Arizona. To obtain an application packet and/or seek additional information on state licensure go to: http://www.massageboard.az.gov/.
University Transfer
Certificate graduates can continue on for their AAS degree with PC. AAS graduates can transfer credits to other colleges/universities for their Bachelor’s degree in various health or recreation related fields. Some examples within Arizona are: Physical Therapy, Physical Education, Recreation and Tourism Management, Nursing, Acupuncture, etc. In addition, the AAS in Therapeutic Massage transfers directly to the Bachelor of Applied Science in Wellness at ASU East Campus and Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies at all ASU locations.
