Child Care Center
The Family Care and Head Start Center is an integral part of the Applied Arts and Human Science Department—serving as both a child care center and also having a valuable instructional purpose for many program areas. With start-up grant money, Southwest Human Development partnered with Phoenix College in building a center that features:
- Head Start classroom
- Preschool classroom
- Young Preschool classroom (toddlers)
- Family Resource Center
The Center provides an educational experience that builds self-esteem and gives children and adult learners opportunities to interact with a variety of family lifestyles and cultural differences. It truly lives up to its motto: "The Place Where Everyone Comes to Learn" Read more about the the instructional role that the center plays at PC, or visit the center's website.
