Applied Arts and Human Sciences

Located in the beautiful Dalby Building, the Applied Arts and Human Sciences Department is the home of four distinct areas:

• Child and Family Studies
• Food and Nutrition (Culinary)
• Fashion Design
• Interior Design

Associate in Applied Science degrees are offered in Early Childhood Education and Administration, Culinary Studies, Family Development, Fashion Design, Food Service Administration, and Interior Design. We also offer many Certificates of Completion. The Family Care and Head Start Center provides child care for Phoenix College students. Our student-run Culinary Cafe serves lunch on Tuesday through Thursday and provides catering throughout the semester.

Applied Arts & Human Sciences Mission
The mission of the Applied Arts and Human Sciences Department is to provide quality educational courses and programs for students who are preparing for employment, upgrading their skills, enriching their personal and family lives, and for students who are planning to transfer to a four-year university.
