The Fashion Design program prepares students for employment in the fashion industry. Students will develop skills in fashion illustration, apparel design, clothing construction, and pattern making. Graduates of the program will be able to illustrate and design apparel, draft patterns, and custom design apparel for individual clients.
The experienced teachers and many, varied courses at Phoenix College have given me the skills and knowledge that I need to begin to make a name for myself in the world of fashion.

Graduates can work in the fashion industry for apparel manufacturers and retailers. Students are exposed to entry level information and skills that relate to the following occupations in the design field:

Program Information
Our Fashion Design courses (Textiles and Clothing, or TEC), will prepare you to complete your degree or certificate. Full and part-time students find our curriculum fits their schedules. We offer day, afternoon, evening, and weekend classes. Working professionals can update their skills and enhance their earning potential by attending a variety of scheduled classes.
The Fashion Design program requires 41 credit hours in the major, plus 25 general education requirements for a total of 66 hours. (see AAS in Fashion Design).
