Nationwide, adults are returning to education in greater numbers. With the emphasis on lifelong learning, rapidly changing technology, longer life spans, re-careering and changes in personal circumstances, it is not common for adults to change career and/or personal goals multiple times during a lifetime.
Some facts about re-entry students:
- At Phoenix College, returning adults comprise over 50% of the student population.
- Because of life experience, re-entry students have often developed many attributes that contribute to academic success, such as maturity, motivation, and the ability to focus.
- Adult students recognize the importance of learning and appreciate the value of higher education.
Phoenix College is pleased to offer returning students a comprehensive array of student services that assist and provide support in managing the unique challenges and issues faced by returning adults. Please visit the Student Services web site for a complete list of these support services.
