Lisa Ruiz, MS, ATC/L, is Phoenix
College's Head Athletic Trainer. This is her second
year as a head athletic trainer for Phoenix College.
She received her BS in Exercise Science from Arizona
State University in 1999 and her MS in Sports
Health Care from Arizona School of Health Sciences
in 2003. She has been a part of the Phoenix College
family and athletic training staff since 1999,
initially starting as an athletic training student
while attending ASU and continuing through as
a graduate assistant while completing her master's
degree at ASHS. Lisa currently resides in Phoenix,
Arizona.

Thad Walker, MS, ATC, CSCS begins
his second year with our Bears at Phoenix College
for the 2005-2006 Season. He received his BA in
Biology from Augustana College in Rock Island,
IL. He received is MS in Sports Health Care at
the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He has
previously worked in several area outpatient physical
therapy clinics while providing athletic training
services for Marcos de Niza High School and Chandler
High School/junior high schools. He completed
internships with the Chicago Cubs and Quad Cities
Steamwheelers. Thad is a certified member of both
the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA)
and the National Strength and Conditioning Association
(NSCA).
Thad and his wife, Kristine, currently live in
Higley, AZ. |

Jessee ATC, LMT
Part-time Assistant Athletic Trainer |

| April Jessee ATC, LMT is in her
second year as a certified member of the PC Sports
Medicine Staff. April received her BS in Exercise
Science and Physical Education from Arizona State
University in 1999. She completed an internship
at Phoenix College and served as a student athletic
trainer until becoming certified in 2004. She
is also a graduate of the PC Therapeutic Massage
program and is a licensed massage therapist. April
is a certified member of the NATA and currently
lives in Tolleson, AZ. |

Sarah Logue ATC
Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer

| Sarah Logue ATC is in her first
year on the PC Sports Medicine Staff and serves
as Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer. Sarah
received a BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis
in Athletic Training from Indiana University.
She is currently working on a MS in Sports Health
Care at the Arizona School of Health Sciences.
Sarah is doing her Master's Thesis on the effects
of core strengthening exercise on balance. After
graduation she hopes to teach in an accredited
undergraduate athletic training program. Sarah
is a certified member of the NATA. |

April Perotti ATC
Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer

| April Perotti ATC is also in her
first year with Phoenix College and is a Graduate
Assistant Athletic Trainer. She received a BS
in Athletic Training at Northeastern University
in Boston, Massachusetts. April is currently working
on a MS in Sports Health Care at the Arizona School
of Health Sciences. Her master's thesis in on
the effects of high volt electric stimulation
on acute edema. April is a certified member of
the NATA. |
