Muscle Endurance
Goal: Learners will demonstrate the application of the F.I.T.T. principle for both muscle strength and muscle endurance exercise using personal information supplied by the learner.
Objectives:
- Students will view instruction on applying frequency, intensity, time, and type to both their muscle endurance/muscle strength program.
- Students will view instruction explaining the difference between sets and repetitions.
- Students will be asked to make proper selections for frequency, intensity, time, and type for both muscle endurance and muscle strength. Feedback will be provided to students for correct answer(s).
- Students will be asked to select muscle groups to include in a muscle strength and muscle endurance programs.
Procedures
- When the student selects the “Muscle Strength & Muscle Endurance” link on the web site, the instruction will proceed. Students will be directed through each step.
- Students will view both Muscle Strength and Muscle Endurance side by side. The purpose in doing this is to emphasize the differences in sets, repetitions, and resistance.
- Interactivity is used for selecting appropriate frequency, intensity, time, type of exercise for both Muscle Strength and Muscle Endurance.
- Students are encouraged to take notes.
Instructor Note:
Information concerning frequency, intensity, time, and type are frequently set side-by-side for muscle strength and muscle endurance in order to demonstrate the differences between the two types of exercise.
