Objectives:

  1. Students will view instruction on applying frequency, intensity, time, and type to both their muscle endurance/muscle strength program.
  2. Students will view instruction explaining the difference between sets and repetitions.
  3. Students will be asked to make proper selections for frequency, intensity, time, and type for both muscle endurance and muscle strength. Feedback will be provided to students for correct answer(s).
  4. Students will be asked to select muscle groups to include in a muscle strength and muscle endurance programs.

Procedures

  1. When the student selects the “Muscle Strength & Muscle Endurance” link on the web site, the instruction will proceed. Students will be directed through each step.
  2. Students will view both Muscle Strength and Muscle Endurance side by side. The purpose in doing this is to emphasize the differences in sets, repetitions, and resistance.
  3. Interactivity is used for selecting appropriate frequency, intensity, time, type of exercise for both Muscle Strength and Muscle Endurance.
  4. Students are encouraged to take notes.

Instructor Note:

Information concerning frequency, intensity, time, and type are frequently set side-by-side for muscle strength and muscle endurance in order to demonstrate the differences between the two types of exercise.
