is offered on two levels. The AST 101 and 102 lecture and optional lab are intended for people who wish to know more about the universe they live in. Typically offered in the evening, the one semester course is a survey of the various areas of astronomy offered in a very low level math format. The second level is the university transfer level of AST 111 and 113, and AST 112 and 114 lecture-lab combinations. AST 111/113 primarily covers the solar system, while AST 112/114 studies the rest of the universe.
