Subject Headings
Subject headings that will yield the most imformation include:
Deaf (and its subheadings, such as Biography, Fiction, Research, etc.).
Deafness (and its subheadings, such as Social Aspects, Prevention, etc.).
In some cases, phrases are used as subject headings, such as Deaf as Authors, Deaf as Athletes, Deaf in Literature. In other cases, inverted phrases are used. Examples of these are: Aged, Deaf; Parents, Deaf; Sculptors, Deaf; and Women, Deaf.
