ESL Resources
The ESL collection of books, audiocassettes, and videos is located
on the main floor of the library. These items are marked with a green sticker
on the spine of the book
or tape. The book collection includes biographies, abridged novels, and
books on the American experience.
Records for the ESL collection are in the Library
Catalog. Some suggested Subject searches include:
- English language -- self instruction
- English language -- study and teaching -- spanish speakers
- English language -- films for foreign speakers

Young Adult Collection
- Collection of books written specifically for young adults with adult
themes and age-appropriate vocabulary. The collection is located near
the end of the circulating books on the upper floor. Short novels are
included in this collection.
Books are identified by JUV on the book spine.

Foreign Language Resources
The foreign language
books are located near the end of the circulating books on the
upper floor of the library. The language of each book is marked on the
spine along with an 
orange
sticker. Languages include Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Latin, Persian,
Russian, and Spanish.
Foreign language
magazines and newspapers are located on the main floor of the library
next to the audiovisuals.
Foreign language
audiotapes and videos are located on the main floor of the library.
Videos include grammar videos and cultural videos. The specific language
of each tape is identified by a green label, such as

Acting with an Accent [AUDIO PE1712.S77 1979], a set of sound
cassettes of different dialects, is also shelved in this area.
Foreign Language materials are included in the Library Catalog. Some suggested searches include:

Video viewing rooms are available on the main and upper floors of the library.
Foreign language
dictionaries are available in the Reference Collection between
PA - PN on the main floor of the library. These dictionaries do not circulate.
