What is the role of a library liaison?

Library liaisons are library service faculty who perform the following duties:

Help faculty become aware of library resources in all formats in subject areas taught. These materials may include reference and circulating books, journals and magazines, videos, CD-ROMs as well as online databases.

Share information with faculty about the library's services, e.g. checkout, interlibrary loans, reserves, etc.

Provide bibliographic instruction and one-on-one training sessions by request.

Work with faculty as partners in building and keeping current the resources in respective subject areas. Input is encouraged on material requests and suggestions for improving service.

If you have questions about the program, please call Ann Roselle at (602)285-7549 for assistance.
