Paradise Valley Indoor Track & Field Invitational The Phoenix College track and field team participated in the Paradise Valley Indoor Invitational Saturday and got solid performances all around as one student-athlete qualified for the NJCAA indoor championships and seven others had solid finishes. Clarence Dean, a former South High School student-athlete, finished second in the 400 meters with a NJCAA indoor qualifying time of 50.24. Dean joins Jourdin Holden as PC's NJCAA qualifiers so far this season as Holden qualified in the high jump at the Mountain Invitational on February 5. Jimmy Johnson tied for fifth in 60 meters with a time of 7.0. Julius Strayhand and Jaren Parham had solid performances in the long jump. Barbara Goe, a former Cortez High School student-athlete, was the winner of the 60 meters in a time of 8.9, just off the NJCAA indoor qualifying time of 8.85. Holly Chambers placed fourth overall in the 60 meters. Cassie Redder had a solid performance in the 3000 meters.
