Ludmila Francescatto, a 5-11 outside hitter from fourth-ranked Arizona Western College, is the NJCAA Division I Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending September 21. Francescatto led Arizona Western to a 6-2 record last week. She began the week with a double-double performance in a win over Scottsdale with 10 kills and 15 digs. Her other double-double was a 13 kill, 18 digs effort in a loss to second-ranked (at the time) Salt Lake Community College. On the week she had 75 kills, 11 blocks, 92 digs and 31 service aces. Arizona Western has defeated three top-15 teams this season in Lee College, Seward County Community College and Salt Lake.
