Yavapai Bows Out of
NJCAA Championships After PK Losses Officially,
Yavapai recorded a pair of ties in the 2006 NJCAA Division
I Men's Soccer Championships. Unfortunately for the Roughriders
both ties resulted in losses in penalty kicks to boot them
from the tourney. | more

Yavapai Advances to
NJCAA National Championships Yavapai
defeated North Idaho 2-0 in the West District Championship
Game to advance to the NJCAA National Championship Tournament,
which begins in Tyler, Texas, on November 16th. This is the
16th trip to the National Championships in the past 17 years
for the Roughriders, who have won five titles and placed in
the top four 15 times since 1990.

Yet Another Region I Title Top-seed
Yavapai defeated Pima 2-0 to earn the program's 16th NJCAA

Espinoza Tabed ACCAC
Player of the Year, Pima & Yavapai Coaches Receive Honor
After leading Yavapai
to a 19-0-1 regular season record and #2 national ranking,
Roger Espinoza has been selected the 2006 ACCAC Player of
the Year. Yavapai Head Coach Mike Pantalione and Pima Head
Coach Dave Cosgrove are the 2006 ACCAC Co-Coaches of the Year

Western, PC's Kim Post Rare Shutout The
ACCAC Player of the Week honor went to Arizona Western's James
Grant after four goals in two matches. Phoenix College's Taehoon
Kim helped the Bears go 2-0-1 on the week and held Yavapai
scoreless for the first time in 52 matches to earn the Keeper

Acosta Earn ACCAC Honors Jose
Flores posted four goals and an assists to lead Phoenix College
to a pair of ACCAC victories and the Conference's Player of
thw Week honor. Roman Acosta led the Pima defense to a pair
of victories, including a shutout of Arizona Western, to earn
the ACCAC Keeper of the Week award. | More

Forbes allowed just one goal while posting 19 saves in a pair
of Arizona Western victories to earn ACCAC Men's Soccer Player

2006 ACCAC Soccer Schedule
Released Scottsdale and
Yavapai will kickoff the 2006 season on Friday, August 25th,
when they square off at Yavapai at 1:00 p.m. A full slate
of matches featuring ACCAC teams is set for Saturday, August
26th. More
