Final for Fourth Place at NJCAA Championships
Yavapai scored a 5-0 shutout over South
Suburban CC to reach the consolation finals and then defeated
Schoolcraft 2-1 to take fourth place at the NJCAA Division
I Men's Soccer Tournament.
Yavapai Falls in NJCAA
Opener Yavapai's dropped
a 3-2 decision to Georgia Perimeter College in the first round
of the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament. Yavapai will
now take on South Suburban College in the loser's bracket
on Friday at 2 p.m.
Yavapai Captures Another
Region Title Yavapai defeated
Chandler-Gilbert 4-1 to capture its 14th NJCAA Region I Championship
in the past 15 years. Yavapai will now take its 21-1 record
to the NJCAA National Championship Tournament. More

three seconds remaining in overtime during Friday's semifinal,

and will await the winners in the semifinals. The opening
round of the 2004 NJCAA Region I Playoffs begins Tuesday,
October 26th, as #3 Pima host #6 Scottsdale and #4 Paradise
Valley host #5 Glendale. Both matches kick-off at 2:00 p.m.
