WSFL Teams Go Undefeated
in 2005 Bowls The teams
of the WSFL went 3-0 in 2005 Bowls, led by #1 Glendale scoring
a 50-48 victory over #2 Grand Rapids (MI) CC and therefore
claiming the 2005 National Championship. Dixie State defeated
Garden City (KS) CC in a battle of 17th ranked programs
35-31 in the Dixie Rotary Classic and #13 Snow defeated
#6 Butler (KS) 17-14 in the Zions Bank Top of the Mountain
Bowl.

Game Spotlights Three WSFL Bowl Games
#1 ranked Glendale (10-0) will host #2
ranked Grand Rapids (MI) (9-1) in the Valley of the Sun
Bowl in a battle for the NJCAA National Championship. #13
Snow (9-2) will host #6 Butler (KS) (9-1) in the Zions Bank
Top-of-the-Mountain Bowl, while #17 Dixie State (8-3) will
host #17 Garden City (KS) (7-3) in the Dixie Rotary Bowl.

2005's Top Performers Glendale
quarterback Tim Brockwell, who has
led the Gauchos to a perfect 10-0 record and the #1 spot
in the National rankings, has been named the NJCAA Region
I Offensive Player of the Year and the WSFL's Offensive
MVP. Arizona Western's Luis Vasquez was selected the Region
I Defensive Player of the Year while Dixie State's Misi
Tupe earned the WSFL's Defensive MVP award. Glendale Head
Coach Joe Kersting was selected the NJCAA Region I Coach

Defensive Player of the Week Justin
Stone led Mesa to a 27-26 victory over and earned NJCAA
Defensice Player of the Week honors after posting nine tackles
and 1.5 sacks. Stone becomes the fifth WSFL player in 2005

#1 in the NJCAA Glendale's
54-17 victory over then #12 ranked Dixie STate vaulted the
Gauchos into the top spot in the latest NJCAA national rankings.
Glendale is one of three WSFL programs in the latest rankings
as the Gauchos are joined by Snow at #6 (9-1) amd Dixie

Mesa's Banecki, Stone
Sweep WSFL Honors Mesa
defeated Eastern Arizona 27-26 and were led by Chad Banecki
and Jordan Stone. Banecki ran for
194 yards and three touchdowns to capture the WSFL Offensive
Player of the Week award, while Stone had nine tackles and
1.5 sacks to earn the Defensive Player of the Week honor.

with Weekly Awards Glendale's
Torrey Huckaby and Arizona Western's Roy Burr are the WSFL's
Co-Defensive Players of the Week for the week ending October
23rd. There were also Co-Offensive Players of the Week as
Glendale's Johnny Sanchez and Mesa's Kenny Mahone posted

Riza, Director of Athletics at Pima College, said today
(10/22) that the Aztecs would have to forfeit tonight's
game with Scottsdale and the remainder of their 2005 season
due to a lack of active players.

Mexico Military's Roddray Walker posted 15 tackles to earn
the WSFL Defensive Player of the Week honor while Glendale's
Taryll Galloway took home Offensive Player of the Week honors
after leading the #8 ranked and undefeated Gauchos to yet

Scottsdale upset #2 ranked Dixie State 24-21 in the WSFL's
premier matchup in week four. The WSFL also features two
