The NJCAA announced today that the Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending December 6, 2003, is Central Arizona's Rashidet Sadiq. The 6-2 forward from Oyo State, Nigeria, led Central Arizona to a 2-0 week with wins over Chandler Gilbert (113-44) and Cochise (74-52). Sadiq, the 2002-03 NJCAA Region I Player of the Year and NJCAA All-American, recorded two double-doubles with 34 points and 14 rebounds against Chandler-Gilbert and a 23-point/14-rebound effort against Cochise.
