Case Study #3

The periodontal exam revealed generalized 4-6 mm pockets, except for the presence of 7 mm pockets on #24 and #25. Recession was absent, except for 3 mm on the facial of #24 and #25. Degree 2 mobility was present on #23, #24, #25 and #26.

There was no furcation involvement on any molars. Moderate plaque and calculus were present.

She stated that #24 and #25 were not sensitive and that they had not sustained any injury of any kind. Her last dental visit had been 5 years ago when she had anterior restorations placed on #8 and #10. The last time she had dental hygiene therapy had been over 7 years ago.
