Mission and Vision
Through synergy, professionalism, and integrity, we provide support services to a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff for the improvement of teaching and learning in an environment that utilizes the state of the art technology. We value and support on going innovation, personal and professional growth of our employees. We value communication and feedback as a means to improve our services.
Teaching and Learning is integrated with our department's goals and areas of responsibility. CTLT staff strive to integrate technology and sound pedagogies into the classroom and office and to support life-long learning for all employees. Our workshops and services promote the implementation of new and proven teaching and learning techniques by faculty in PC classes. One focus that encompasses the heart of CTLT is meeting the needs of employees and students through various alternative modes for teaching and learning. We strive to integrate changing technologies, support varied learning styles, model and promote pedagogical sound techniques, and interests of employees and students.
Strategic Goals
CTLT faculty and staff teams meet regularly to discuss the following strategic goals:

| a. | Effectively communicate within our department to identify projects and activities and stay informed. | ||
| b. | Effectively disseminate information to departments and students on CTLT services and opportunities. | ||
| c. | Project a professional and consistent image of the department. | ||
| d. | Identify and monitor department projects to reach department goals. | ||
| e. | Effectively communicate with technology leaders on projects and activities that impact CTLT. | ||
| 2. | Provide leadership and support for the development and implementation of current and emerging technologies, programs, and methods that improve job performance. | ||
| a. | Use current and emerging technologies that improve process and performance. | ||
| b. | Promote and support programs that enhance employees' abilities to perform their jobs through skills development, knowledge, and professional growth. | ||
| c. | Promote and support technologies and methods that enhance CTLT/CC faculty, staff and student workers' abilities to perform their jobs. | ||
| d. | Increase number of CTLT staff. | ||
| e. | Support college initiatives such as SIS and CMS implementations. | ||
| f. | Develop a technology replacement plan for the department. | ||
| 3. | Continuously evaluate how effectively CTLT meets college needs. | ||
| a. | Conduct needs assessment to determine existing and future department and college needs not currently being met. | ||
| b. | Assess and evaluate existing programs and processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency. | ||
| 4. | Support student use of technology and tools that impact learning. | ||
| a. | Provide and support student access to technology and tools for learning in the Computer Commons. | ||
| b. | Provide and support student access to Blackboard. | ||
| 5. | Support and promote excellence in Teaching & Learning. | ||
| a. | Engage with the campus community to promote initiatives regarding Teaching & Learning. | ||
| b. | Coordinate with campus resources to support innovative teaching and learning projects. | ||
| c. | Identify, develop, and implement standards and criteria for eTeaching & eLearning. | ||
| d. | Promote, implement, support and model effective use of Blackboard in instruction. | ||
| e. | Provide faculty with a community environment that supports teaching and learning (Adjunct Faculty Resource Center). | ||
| f. | Promote, implement, support and model effective use of technology in instruction. | ||
| g. | Explore, evaluate, implement and support new technologies and techniques for learning. | ||
| h. | Provide pedagogical opportunities as defined by VP. | ||
