Work Study Student Process:
  • To be eligible to receive Federal Work Study, students must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and complete their financial aid file with the Phoenix College (PC) Financial Aid Office.   Federal Work Study funds are awarded to students who demonstrate financial need as determined by the results of the FAFSA.   Funds and employment positions are limited and are available on a first come first served basis.  It is recommended that you apply early and have your Financial Aid file completed on or before the PC Priority date to help maximize your financial aid award.

 Job Duties: Front desk receptionist. Communicate with students, faculty, staff and community members to answer questions, explain information, and take job orders. Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages. Compile, copy, and sort handouts and office records. Operate office machines, such as photocopiers, voice mail systems and personal computers. Record, input and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports. Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, using a computer. Open, sort incoming mail. Assist students with Career Services activities. Desired Qualifications: 2 years clerical experience, Microsoft Office, customer service, strong attention to detail, knowledge and/or experience with Social Media, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.  19.5

 Duties will include Front Desk, phones, filing, light clerical work, along with excellent customer service skills. Copying work/music materials, performances set-up and brake down, thus evening hours are required. Monitor of Class Open Labs, painting of Art Gallery after each scheduled show, and general clean-up of the Ceramic Lab. Other duties will be assigned as deemed necessary. Student workers must have Federal Work Study funds.  8am-12pm
