Work Study Student Process:
  • To be eligible to receive Federal Work Study, students must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and complete their financial aid file with the Phoenix College (PC) Financial Aid Office.   Federal Work Study funds are awarded to students who demonstrate financial need as determined by the results of the FAFSA.   Funds and employment positions are limited and are available on a first come first served basis.  It is recommended that you apply early and have your Financial Aid file completed on or before the PC Priority date to help maximize your financial aid award.

Min qualifications would be successful completion of MAT151 (College Algebra) and a desire to work with other students.  Fine Arts Building and Music Building Employment Duties: Student will work under the Federal Work-Study program covering Fall/Spring 2009-10 semesters. Must have strong Customer Service skills, student workers will not only service fellow students, assist faculty/staff, and the general public. Duties will include providing front desk coverage, answer incoming phone calls, run errands, distributing incoming mail, and taking clear messages. Office duties may also include light typing, filing, faxing, Xeroxing. Student must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Student workers will also maintain the Music Library data input, phones, copying materials, and monitoring music lab and/or Art Gallery. Workers must have the ability to lift 50 lbs and the ability to follow instructions and work independently to set-up/break down performance sets. Clean-up after events/ classrooms. Student must be able to work evening hours at lease one night a week(a must) until 10 pm. Other duties include special events that may occur on the weekends - students must be available.  8AM until 9PM
