Course Development Funding
Fundable projects include:
- Development a hybrid course which significantly reduces seat-time in a course.
- Develop a online course from an existing hybrid course.
- Development of a hybrid course from an online course.
- Employ Learning Communities as a tool for making linkages between courses and to restructure curriculum around interdisciplinary themes.
- Build Service Learning opportunities into your course and provide students with “real world experiences” that integrate into your curriculum.
Objectives
- Provide $50,000 in release time or extended contracts for faculty (residential and adjunct) to develop online, hybrid, learning communities, service learning courses.
- Participate in a 6 month course development program including training, instructional design, course development, evaluating learning and providing support to departments at Phoenix College.
Steps for submitting an application:
Oversight
- Read the Course Development guidelines.
- Review the Scoring Rubric.
- Use the Practice Application for developing your course.
- Fill out the Online Application form. You can save the document at any time and come back to continue the completion of the application.
The Online/Hybrid development program will be overseen by the TLG committee and Administration.
Who is Eligible?Funding Opportunities
- Residential Faculty
- Adjunct Faculty
- 1-4 load hours of release time depending on the course being developed (Residential Faculty)
- Extended Contracts (Adjuncts)
