The Computer Commons will accept requests to reinstall or install new software from faculty/staff by the end of a current semester for the following semester. Please refer to "Software Timelines" for dates of request and availability.
Installs for new software will not be completed until all approvals appear on the appropriate request forms accompanied by appropriate licensing documentation. All software and documentation is forward to TGS (Technology Support Group) for installation. Requests must also be accompanied by any special instructions in the setup of the software.

Requests are subject to approval by that department's Chair or Director. All software is subject to refusal by on the basis of incompatibilities, space required, or conflicts with the standard applications and operating systems used on the servers and workstations. Faculty/staff are encouraged to contact TGS help desk for assistance on software system requirements before purchasing software.

The Computer Commons will not be responsible for missing features that are not part of the normal installation of a particular software.

To insure proper setup and functionality the desired software, steps A, B, and C must be completed.

Completion:

Once the software request form has been submitted and the desired software is installed, the requestor is required to visit the lab and/or classroom and test the software. Faculty/Staff will be notified on the status on their software installation by MEMO.
This will insure proper setup and functionality or to any features of the installed software, all steps A, B, and C must be completed.
