The Women's
Studies curriculum is designed to meet general studies requirements for
degrees at MCCCD as well as the state universities. The discipline of Women's
Studies examines the status of women in American society and in other culutures.
It includes examination of race, class and gender as constraints for members
of the society and specifically on their effect on the lives of women in
our society.
