WHY SHOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN A CAREER IN INSURANCE?

Insurance plays an important role in today’s world protecting millions of home, auto and business owners from the risk of losing everything they have. Being a part of this exciting industry gives you a sense of satisfaction. Independent agents – business owners who represent several insurance companies and offer many different kinds of insurance – help friends and neighbors in their own communities to protect what they have worked so hard to gain. In addition to independent agents, there are hundreds of different careers in insurance, one to fit every interest.

  • There are over 350 exciting careers available to you in the insurance industry.
  • Insurance offers you a rewarding, lifelong career with limitless earning potential.
  • The Phoenix offices of Brown & Brown Insurance and AIG are both offering internship, part time, and full time employment opportunities to qualified students who have completed the insurance courses offered at Phoenix College. They are also sponsoring book and/or tuition scholarships.
  • At last count there were more than two billion people working in the insurance industry in jobs such as:
    1. Producer/ Broker
    2. Administrative Assistant
    3. Customer Service Representative
    4. Sales/Marketing Assistant
    5. Management Trainee
    6. Claims Processor/Adjuster
    7. Underwriter
