Jessica Marshall Signs with Lady Bears Soccer

Phoenix College Women's Soccer would like to announce the signing of Jessica Marshall to an NJCAA National Letter of Intent for the Bear's 2004 Season. Jessica has been a Girls Varsity Soccer player all 4 years at Centennial High School and during that time has scored over 60 goals. In addition, she has been a Wells Fargo Second Team All-Region Selection in 2000-2001, 2001-2002, and 2002-2003 and a Wells Fargo First Team All-Region in 2003-2004. The 2003-2004 season at Centennial H.S. was a momentus one because Jessica was the Varsity Team Captain and was the recipient for the Outstanding Forward Award for her team.

Her high school coach, Russ Dunham said, "I am so happy that Jessica is going to be in such good hands next year. She is a great kid and deserves it. She has been such a wonderful player for us in high school that I am sad to see them go, but I am so glad that the two of the them (Jessica Marshall and Alexa Pupo) will have the opportunity to stay together for at least two more years. They compliment each other so well." She will be wearing the # 16 jersey next season for the Bears and will be looking to contribute as a midfielder and forward.

"Jessica was a very important piece to my puzzle for next year. We are getting a multi-dimensional player with good skill, a good attitude, and a good work ethic. I am looking for Jessica to be a big contributor next season. With her, you are combining a great kid with a great player....you can't ask for more than that....except for the fact that we are getting two of them (Jessica Marshall and Alexa Pupo) from Centennial H.S."
