Kevin Frady is in his first season as an Assistant Coach with
the Bears' baseball program. His responsibilities include recruitment
of eligible student-athletes, assistance with four-year college
placement and fundraising efforts. On field duties include instruction
of infield play, handling of hitters and third base coach. Other
responsibilities at Phoenix College are sight supervisor for home
football games as well as mens and womens home basketball
games.
Coach Frady joined the PC Baseball staff after spending the previous
year working with National Sports Management in Phoenix. He served
as a Recruiter and Player Representative responsible for national
coverage locating and recruiting of top draft eligible baseball
prospects, the instruction and training of players in a practice
setting during off-season months, facilitation of corporate sponsored
baseball camps, purchasing of equipment for players, and establishing
marketing and endorsement opportunities for client base. Coach
Frady represented Jason Roach (AAA, ML- New York Mets), Pete Della
Ratta (AAA- Florida), Rick Guttormson (AA,AAA- Seattle), C.J.
Medlin (A- Chicago Cubs), and Chris Gill (A- Oakland).
From 1999 to 2002, Coach Frady served as the Area Supervisor
for the New York Mets for the area that included Arizona, New
Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. He was responsible
for supporting various Major and Minor League teams, set-up and
execution of try-out camps throughout the territory, administrative
duties in preparation of annual amateur draftand establishing
relationships with prospective draft picks and families. He assisted
in the signing of Jeff Duncan (7th round, ASU), Wayne Ough (15th
round, Trinidad State JC, CO), Brett Harper (42nd round, Scottsdale
CC), and Tyler Beuerlein (7th round, Grand Canyon Univ.). Coach
Frady also served the Mets as an Associate Area Scout from 1997
to 1999.
Coach Frady has also served as an Assistant Coach for Edmonds
Community College in Lynnwood, WA (1996-1998) and Eastern Oregon
State Collegein La Grande, OR (1994 to 1996).
