Bears Season Ends with Losses to Mesa

PC Bears Sweep Home Doubleheader Over Eastern Arizona
Maurice Bins connected on a pair of homeruns in the opener to lead Phoenix College to a 7-5 victory. In game two, the two squads combined for 13 errors as the Bears squeeked out a 6-5 win to sweep the ACCAC doubleheader. Boxscore 1 | Boxscore 2

PC Drops Pair on Road at Yavapai
Yavapai scored 6-5 and 7-1 ACCAC victories over the Bears Saturday. While Phoenix College held early leads in each contest, the Bears were unable to come away with a victory on the road. Boxscore 1 | Boxscore 2

Bears Split Doubleheader Against Arizona Western
Phoenix College scored a 7-6 victory in the opener as Will Siegrist went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI. In the nightcap, Arizona Western posted a 15-5 win by puunding out 17 hits. Boxscore 1 | Boxscore 2

Phoenix Falls to South Mountain on Consecutive Days

Mesa Tops Bears on Back-to-Back Days
The Bears travelled to Mesa and fell 12-0 on Tuesday before Mesa added a road win over Phrops Pair on Road at oenix on Wednesday 6-1. Boxscore 1 | Boxscore 2

PC Gains ACCAC Split with Eastern Arizona
The Bears captured game one 4-1 behind a strong pitching performance by Brett Armour. Game two was an offensive battle, won 10-7 by Eastern Arizona. Boxscore 1 | Boxscore 2

Yavapai Sweeps ACCAC Doubleheader from Bears
Yavapai scored a 4-1 victory in the opener and scored an unearned run in the 10th inning to win game two 6-5. Chris Runyon went 5-for-8 with a pair of RBI and a stolen base in the twin bill. Boxscore 1 | Boxscore 2

Armour Pitches Bears to Split with Arizona Western
Phoenix fell to Arizona Wetsern 6-4 in the opener and then sent Brett Armour to the mound to salvage an ACCAC split. Amrour responded by allowing just two hits and no runs over eight innings to lead the Bears to a 3-0 victory. Boxscore 1 | Boxscore 2

Grand Canyon Out-Offenses Bears 13-11
The Bears held Grand Canyon University scoreless through three innings, but then the offense kicked in for both teams. Phoenix fell despite Donato Giovanatto five RBI performance. Boxscore

Bears Victorious in Four Straight
PC's baseball Bears defeated Olympic CC 8-7 for their fourth consecutive victory. The Bears trailed 6-0 before posting the come-from-behind victory, scoring seven unanswered runs after the sixth inning. Matt Knobbe came off of the bench to go 2-for-3 with a pair of runs to help pace PC. Boxscore

Phoenix Baseball Takes Double-Dip from Big Bend CC
Joey McCarthy posted a pair of doubles and four RBI in a 10-5 game one victory, while McCarthy and Matt Knobbe each had a pair of RBI in the Bears 7-5 game two victory. Boxscore 1 | Boxscore 2

Central Arizona Completes Sweep of Bears
Central Arizona topped the Bears 8-3 and 9-2 to complete a three game sweep of the Bears in ACCAC action. Boxscore 1 | Boxscore 2

Central Arizona Scores Early & Holds On Against Bears
Central Arizona tallied three runs in each of the first and second innings and held off a PC comeback for a 9-6 victory. Boxscore

Phoenix College Scores Double Dip Sweep of Longview (MO)
The Bears broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to win game one 7-5 as Joey McCarthy hit a pair of triples and Devery Van de Keere belted a homer and posted three RBI. PC had an easier time in game two with a 9-3 victory over Longview. Mike Trojanik allowed just one earned run in route to the victory, while Joey McCarthy continued his hot bat from game one with a double, triple and three RBI. Boxscore 1 | Boxscore 2

Garden City CC (KS) Scores Pair og One-Run Victories Over Bears
The opener saw Garden City win a 7-6 see-saw battle as the Bears held the lead on three occassions but could not hold on. In the nightcap, PC held an 8-2 advantage entering the eighth inning before Garden City plated seven runs to take a 9-8 victory. Boxscore 1 | Boxscore 2

Chandler-Gilbert Takes Rubber Game of 3-Game Series
Chandler-Gilbert's Phillip Anderson allowed just two hits, one run, walked none and struck out 13 Bears in an 8-2 victory to win the three-game series 2-1. Boxscore

PC Comes Back, Falls to C-G
The Bears battled back with eight runs in the sixth inning to knot the score at 9-9 before Chandler-Gilbert plated three runs in each of the eighth and ninth innings for a 15-9 win. The rubber game of the three-game series will be played Saturday. Boxscore

Bears Top Chandler-Gilbert 6-3
Jeremy Bentz scattered six hits over eight innings and struck out seven to lead Phoenix to a 6-3 ACCAC victory. Boxscore

PC Falls to Arapahoe (CO) 9-4
Arapahoe plated three runs in the eighth inning to open a close game as the Bears recorded just eight hits in the game. Boxscore

Joey McCarthy Eighth in ACCAC Hitting

Bears Take 2-of-3 from Scottsdale
Following Friday's 6-5 win, Phoenix battled for an 11-7 win in game two on Saturday as the game turned into a 17-inning endurance race. Scottsdale kept from being swept in the 3-game series with a 2-1 win in the series finale. Game 2 Boxscore | Game 3 Boxscore

Middle of Lineup Propels Phoenix Past Scottsdale
Matt Pesch, Joey McCarthy and Donato Giovanatto, batting fifth, sixth and seventh respectively, went a combined 7-for-11 with four runs and five RBI in Phoenix College's 6-5 victory over Scottsdale. Boxscore

Glendale Sweeps Three-Game Series from Bears
Glendale travelled to Marich Field and scored a 9-2, 7-6 and 7-0 sweep of a three-game series over the Bears. Game 1 | Game 2 | Game 3

Bears Win Doubleheader, Take 3-Game Series from Cochise
Cochise topped the Bears on Friday 6-5 with all of its runs coming in the sixth inning, but Phoenix responded on Saturday with a doubleheader sweep to win the ACCAC series. The Bears Nick DiPaolo connected for a two-run homer in a 5-4 victory in game one and the Bears pounded out 13 hits for a 13-4 victory in the nightcap. Pima Completes Sweep of Bears at Marich Field
After scoring a 4-2 victory over the Bears on Friday, Pima swept Saturdays doubleheader by scores of 10-1 and 6-1. Friday Boxscore | Game 1 Saturday | Game 2 Saturday

Bears Score Big Wins to Stop Season Opening Skid
After falling in thier first four games, the Bears baseball team scored a 10-6 victory over Eastern Utah and a 15-3 win over Colorado Northwest. Game 1 Boxscore | Game 2 Boxscore

PC Host Pair, Falls Twice
Fulerton CC out of California and Delgado CC out of Louisiana defeated the Bears 6-1 and 8-4, respectively, at newly refurbished Marich Field. Game 1 Boxscore | Game 2 Boxscore (coming soon)

Bears Open 2004 Season with Scottsdale Split
Phoenix College opened the season with a 7-2 victory at home over Scottsdale on Friday before falling 12-3 to the same Artichokes on the road Saturday. Game 1 Boxscore | Game 2 Boxscore (coming soon)

Reynolds Releases Bears Baseball 2004 Schedule
Phoenix College Head Baseball Coach Ryan Reynolds' 2004 Bears squad will begin their campaign on the last weekend in January as they host Scottsdale in a non-ACCAC tilt. (view the schedule)
