Mesa 1-1-1 in NJCAA
Women's Soccer Championships Mesa's
women's soccer team tied Schoolcraft (MI) 1-1 btu lost 5-4
in penalty kicks in the opening round of the NJCAA Division
I Women's Soccer National Championships to fall into the consolation
bracket. Mesa then defeated Hartford 4-2 before falling to
Iowa Western. Mesa's Lea Plarski earned the Sportmanship award
for the tourney, while Cammi Kellar and Monique Wells were
selected to the All-Tournament Team. | more

Region I Women's Soccer Title #1
seed Paradise Valley and #2 seed Mesa advanced to the championship
game of the 2006 NJCAA Region I Women's Soccer Tournament
with victories Wednesday night. Paradise Valley defeated #4
Pima 3-1 and Mesa eased by #6 Cochise 1-0. The two finalist

Pima Defeats Scottsdale in Region I Playoffs
#6 seed Cochise scored a 1-0 victory over
#3 seed Phoenix, while #4 seed Pima defeated #5 seed Scottsdale
2-0 in the opening round of the 2006 NJCAA Region I
Women's Soccer Playoffs. Cochise will now play at #2 seed
Mesa on Wednesday, October 25th, at 7:00 p.m. Pima will face
top-seeded Paradise Valley in the other semifinal contest

in ACCAC Amanda Radcliffe
led Paradise Valley to three victories with four goals and
four assists to earn the ACCAC Player of the Week honor, while
Mesa's Monique Wells grabbed the Keeper of the Week award
after recording a pair of shutouts for the 7-0 Thunderbirds.

2006 Women's Soccer
to Kick Off August 26th ACCAC
women's soccer teams will take to the field on Saturday, September
26th, to begin the 2006 season. Hosting matches on the opening
day will be South Mountain, Paradise Valley, Pima and Mesa.
