(week ending September 9th)

Nick Auditore
Mesa

Mesa's Nick Auditore is the ACCAC Player of the Week. In two Mesa wins last week, Auditore scored a goal and an assist in both games. He had five shots in a 4-1 win over Chandler-Gilbert and pummeled the net with six shots in a 4-2 victory over Scottsdale.

Cesar Mexia
Paradise Valley

Paradise Valley's Cesar Mexia is the ACCAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week. Mexia put on a scoring display in both Puma victories this past week. He opened the week with four goals on four shots in a 5-2 win over Glendale and then netted another four goals on just four more shots in a 7-2 defeat of Arizona Western.

Jonathan Cortez
Phoenix

Phoenix College's Jonathan Cortez has been selected the ACCAC Men's Soccer Keeper of the Week. Cortez helped the Bears to a pair of wins on the week. He was in the nets in PC's 3-2 win over Scottsdale and then stopped 11 f 12 shots in the Bears 3-1 victory over Mesa. Two of the three goals allowed by Cortez came on penalty kicks.

Jonathan Cortez
Phoenix College

Phoenix College's Jonathan Cortez is the ACCAC Keeper of the Week. Cortez helped the Bears to a pair of shutout victories on the week. In a 1-0 win over Chandler-Gilbert, he posted six saves. Cortez then had four saves in a 2-0 shutout of Pima.

Abdel Becerra
Arizona Western

Arizona Western's Abdel Becerra is the ACCAC Player of the Week. Becerra had two great games as the Matadors won both their matches last week. In a 4-0 win over Scottsdale, Becerra had two goals. He then added two more and an assist in a 4-0 win over Phoenix.

Paradise Valley's Cesar Mexia is the ACCAC's Men's Soccer Player of the Week. Mexia scored a goal on eight shots to help the Pumas to a 1-1 tie with Mesa. He then netted a goal and added an assist in a 3-0 victory over Scottsdale.

Erick Soto
Paradise Valley

Erick Soto of Paradise Valley has been selected the ACCAC's Keeper of the Week in men's soccer. Soto stopped 10 of 11 Mesa shots in a 1-1 tie. He then posted a shutout and 11 saves in a 3-0 win over Scottsdale.


ACCAC Player of the Week

Travis Sanchez
Pima

Pima's Travis Snachez is the ACCAC Player of the Week. In the Aztecs three wins last week, Sanchez had at least one point in every game. He scored both goals in a 2-0 shutout of Chandler-Gilbert. He then netted a hat trick (3 goals) in a 3-2 win over Mesa and closed the week by posting an assists in a 3-1 win over South Mountain.
