NMMI'S Ovie Esalomi is the WSFL Offensive Player of the
Week. Esalomi rushed for 211 yards on only six carries and
scored two touchdowns as the Broncos beat Lea County 60-0.

Mesa's Alex Matthews is the WSFL Defensive Player of the
Week. Matthews set a Mesa record by knocking down five passes
as a defensive lineman. He also was in on seven tackles to
help the T-birds beat Arizona Western 28-6.

New Mexico Military's Kevin Perez is the WSFL Special
Teams Player of the Week. Perez went 7-for-9 on extra points,
hit a 52-yard field goal, and recoved a blocked PAT for a
two point conversion in the Broncos 60-0 win.

Snow's Soni Sotele and Scottsdale's Dwight Pete have been
selected as the WSFL's Offensive Co-Players of the Week.
Sotele, who helped the #2 ranked Badgers remain undefeated,
ran for 122 yards on 14 carries and scored two touchdowns
in a 52-0 victory over Pima.
Pete ran for 124 yards and also scored a pair of TDs as
the Artichokes downed the Matadors 48-28.

Scottsdale's Michael Stevenson is the WSFL Defensive Player
of the Week. Stevenson had 10 solo and six assisted tackles
for the Artichokes. He also broke up two passes, caused a
fumble and had an interception.

Eastern Arizona
Eastern Arizona's Pat Riley is the WSFL Special Teams
Player of the Week. Riley averaged over 48 yards a punt, had
a punt downed at the one yard line, and ran over 30 yards
on a fake punt for a first down. Riley helped #10 ranked Eastern
to an upset victory over #8 Glendale.

Phoenix College's Timmy House is the WSFL Offensive Player
of the Week. House ran for 206 yards and scored four touchdowns

Glendale
Glendale's Myron Beck is the WSFL Defensive Player of
the Week. Beck helped the Gauchos to a 30-28 win over Scottsdale
by intercepting three Artichoke passes and returning two for
touchdowns. He also had five solo and four assisted tackles
on the night.

Week. Hulce ran for 260 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-13

Saia Taufa of Phoenix College and Eastern Arizona's Rico
Brooks are the WSFL Co-Defensive Players of the Week.
Taufa had 13 tackles, broke up two passes and had two
tackles for losses in the Bears 30-13 win over Arizona Western.
Brooks also had 13 tackles and posted four tackles for
a loss in helping the Gila Monsters remain unbeaten with a
28-7 win over Scottsdale.

one inside the 20.

of the Week. Brown ran for 222 yards and three touchdowns
in the Artichoke's 44-21 win over the Pima Aztecs in Tucson,
Arizona.

Eastern Arizona's Rico Brooks and Snow's Shane Hunter
are the WSFL Co-Defensive Players of the Week.
Brooks paced a Gila Monster defense that held Arizona
Western to just seven points in a big 42-7 victory for Eastern.
He posted nine tackles, four tackles for a loss, broke up
a pass, and intercepted a pass.
Hunter, who helped the Badgers defeat Mesa 48-17, had
eight tackles, two sacks, broke up two passes, and caused
a fumble.

Player of the Week. Hall had eight tackles and two interceptions.

scored a safety as the Thunderbirds defeated Phoenix College
45-6.
