Christian Serena, a 6-2, 240 pound linebacker from Scottsdale Community College, is the NJCAA Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 31. Serena led Scottsdale to a 57-0 win over Phoenix College. In the game he blocked two punts, returning both for touchdowns. He also had two solo tackles, seven assisted tackles, one pass broken up and 0.5 sacks.
