Michael received his BFA in Visual Communications / Graphic Design degree in 1993. After several years as a freelance graphic designer, he became one of the lead designers for the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix, Arizona. While in this prestigious role, Michael created and helped direct the graphics department with a staff of four designers and several freelance artists and photographers. In addition to seeing the exhibit design through to the center's grand opening in 1997, Michael also developed extensive collateral materials for various departments within the Science Center.

Later in 1997, Michael became an Art Director with Thelen Pollick Advertising. During his five-year tenure he worked on many big-name accounts including Department of Commerce, ASU West, Motorola, Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain, Maracay Homes and The Nature Conservancy.

Today, Michael's eye for design and talent for direction are constantly being honed and perfected as a principal of Direction Design Communications.
