EXPRESS TO SUCCESS --An all-new totally-different approach
to mathematics with a fresh approach to learning from the Mathematics
Department at Phoenix College.
Mathematics Express to Success allows you to move from Developmental
Algebra through Intermediate Algebra to the higher level of College
Algebra--all in a rapid, comprehensive and non-threatening fashion.
It is a new and innovative way to learn, regardless of how well
or how poorly you may have done before in mathematics!
It's made for you!
This program responds to your needs by offering tutoring,
academic advisement, financial aid and mentoring. You'll
receive daily support.
It's user friendly!
The MES program turns "stressful" into
"helpful" because the entire teaching-learning
environment is based on collaborative group work, in and out of
the classroom.
You'll experience fast growth!
Plan to take no other course at the same time you are in the
MES program because this is a high-focus, full-time experience.
Expect to successfully complete the math requirements
for a Associate of Arts degree (required for transfer to four-year
college or university) within one semester!

service experience!
Look what you'll receive:
- The Regular Class is a five-credit course which meets two
hours and forty-five minutes, five days per week for five weeks.
We feature cooperative learning and interactive discussions between
you, your teammates and your instructor. You're never alone!
- The MES Workshop is a weekly, three-hour interactive discussion
session between students and faculty. Workshops are designed
to help you develop sound study habits and learn the problem
solving skills essential for your success in mathematics.
- You'll receive peer tutoring, one-to-one tutoring and group
tutoring--all available on a daily basis.
Ever feel you've been left adrift in a class? Alone? Abandoned?
That won't happen in the MES program. Study teams of three to
five students are formed. Team members work together for a minimum
of three hours every week.
