Mesa 1-1-1 in NJCAA Women's Soccer Championships — Mesa's women's soccer team tied Schoolcraft (MI) 1-1 btu lost 5-4 in penalty kicks in the opening round of the NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer National Championships to fall into the consolation bracket. Mesa then defeated Hartford 4-2 before falling to Iowa Western. Mesa's Lea Plarski earned the Sportmanship award for the tourney, while Cammi Kellar and Monique Wells were selected to the All-Tournament Team. | more |

Cochise Shocks Phoenix, Pima Defeats Scottsdale in Region I Playoffs — #6 seed Cochise scored a 1-0 victory over #3 seed Phoenix, while #4 seed Pima defeated #5 seed Scottsdale 2-0 in the opening round of the 2006 NJCAA Region I Women's Soccer Playoffs.
