#3 Snow Holds Off #13 Coffeyville #3 Snow built a 20-7 halftime advantage but then had to come from behind for a for a 26-21 victory over #13 Coffeyville in the 2006 Zions Bank Top of the Mountain Bowl. Coffeyville stormed back in the second half to take a 21-20 lead before Snow mounted the winning drive in the fourth quarter.

Late FG Gives Lackawanna Victory Lackawanna kicked a late field goal to score a come-from-behind 17-16 victory over host Glendale in the 2006 Valley of the Sun Bowl.

Valley of the Sun Bowl to be Televised LIVE The 2006 Valley of the Sun Bowl, which will feature #7 Lackawanna College (9-0) at #5 Glendale (9-1), will be televised live on Maricopa Community College Television. Coverage begins at 1:30 p.m. (MST) and will air on Cox Cable channel 115-MCTV in Maricopa County. MCTV will also up-link the live feed to Scranton, Pennsylvania's FOX station for the fans of Lackawanna College.

Snow's Cooper & Coburn, Scottsdale's Fein Lead WSFL Honor Roll Snow College QB Cade Cooper and Head Coach Steve Coburn were named the WSFL's Offensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year, respectively. Scottsdale's Anthony Fein was selected the WSFL Defensive Player of the Year. | more |

Glendale Sweeps NJCAA Region I's Top Honors Glendale, which completed the regular season ranked #5 in the nation with a 9-1 record, earned all of the top NJCAA Region I honors. Head Coach Joe Kersting was named the Coach of the Year, freshman QB Collin Boulay was selected the Offensive Player of the Year and sophomore LB Morris Wooten earned the Defensive Player of the Year award. Glendale placed nine players on the All-Region teams while Eastern Arizona and Scottsdale placed seven and six players on the teams, respectively. | more |

Valley of the Sun Bowl Set for December 2nd #5 ranked Glendale (9-1) will host #7 ranked Lackawanna College (9-0) of Scranton, PA, in te 2006 Valley of the Sun Bowl on December 2nd at 2:00 p.m. The game will be a homecoming of sorts for Lackawanna Head Coach Mark Duda, who played for the Phoenix Cardinals during his NFL career.

Eastern's Milner, Western's Vasquez & Long Earn Honors Eastern Arizona's Glenn Milner ran for 204 yards to earn the WSFL's Offensive Player of the Week award. Luis Vasquez and Lamont Long earned the Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week honors, respectively, after leading Arizona Western to a shutout of Pima. | More |

SCC's Fein, GCC's Blumbaugh Garner NJCAA Honors Glendale's Willie Brumbaugh was named the NJCAA's Special Teams Player of the Week, while Scottsdale's Tony Fein earned the NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week award.

Glendale, Scottsdale Game Results in Top Performers Glendale defeated Scottsdale 38-23 for the right to host the 2006 Valley of the Sun Bowl. GCC's Brendon Gaskins and Willie Brumbaugh garnered WSFL Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week honors respectively. Eastern Arizona Shocks #1 Snow Eastern Arizona hosted Snow College, undefeated in the WSFL and ranked #1 in the nation, and battled for a 25-20 victory on October 21st. The loss for Snow ties them with Glendale atop the WSFL at 5-1. Scottsdale is just a half game out at 4-1.

Snow College Now #1 Ranked, Glendale Moves Up Three Spots After a convincing victory over #18 Scottsdale, Snow College jumped to the top spot in the NJCAA National rankings with a perfect 8-0 record. Glendale defeated #19 Arizona Western thgis past week to move up to #6 in the nation. | More |

Snow's Cooper Keeps #2 Badgers Undefeated, Scottsdale & NMMI Players Receive Honors For the third time this season, Snow QB Cade Cooper has been selected the WSFL's Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Badgers to yet another victory. Snow, ranked #2 in the nation with an 8-0 record, defeated #17 Scottsdale to take sole posession of the WSFL lead. In the losing effort, Scottsdale's Tony Fein earned WSFL Defesive Player of the Week after posting 21 tackles. NMMI's Walker Receives NJCAA Weekly National Honor Roddray Walker helped New Mexico Military to a victory in the 2006 season openerand earned NJCAA National Special Teams Player of the Week honors for his efforts.
