ABOUT THE PC ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The Phoenix College Office of Alumni & Development/Scholarship Relations is the official home of the Phoenix College Alumni Association (PCAA). Our office is located in the east wing of the Osborn Center, (10th Avenue & Osborn) in Room OSE-106. Our main telephone number is (602) 285-7337.

Whether it is mentoring students, fundraising for scholarships, or championing major initiatives of the college, PC alumni remain engaged by contributing their time, talents, and treasures. This is all possible with the support from the Half-Century Club, all alumni chapters and groups, and our corporate and community sponsors.

MISSION

The mission of the Phoenix College Alumni Association (PCAA) is to preserve the rich heritage of Phoenix College; provide an environment for Phoenix College Alumni to share experiences, opportunities, and fellowship; and, to offer a forum for the alumni of Phoenix College and the students through financial and non-financial programs.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES

The PCAA strives to maintain a balance between friendraising and fundraising in its programs and activities. When the association celebrated its tenth anniversary in 1999, the Board of Directors reaffirmed their commitment to three areas from which the association had operated in its first decade: increasing membership, fundraising for student scholarships, and promoting opportunities for fellowship among alumni. Today, the Board of Directors reviews its goals and objectives annually.  All programs and activities of the association align with one or all of these four key areas:

  • Membership: Increasing active membership and promoting opportunities for fellowship
  • Fundraising: Fundraising for student scholarships, most notably for the PCAA's signature program, the PCAA Scholarship Project
  • Community: Promote ways for the PCAA to interact with current and potential students and the college; increase awareness of the PCAA among the community.
  • Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with local business/organizations and promote collaborative partnerships with the PCAA and Phoenix College.

The PCAA's family of alumni groups—most notably the Half-Century Club and all Alumni Chapters–also align their programs and activities with the four key areas listed above. This strategic approach helps advance the mission of the association and provides a guiding framework from which to operate.
