Harper College Wins Valley of the Sun Bowl With Historic Comeback
Harper College had a historic comeback to beat Phoenix College in the Valley of the Sun Bowl 39-38. The Harper College Hawks trailed 38-6 midway through the 3rd quarter after the Bears dominated the first half. Harper quarterback Garrett Barnas engineered the amazing comeback with three fourth-quarter touchdown passes and a TD run. He finished with 26 completions in 56 attempts for 383 yards, 89 rushing yards on 18 carries and another 27 yards on one reception. He was named Most Valuable Player.
