Mission Statement

The Liberal Arts Department provides comprehensive, high-quality education across the various social and behavioral sciences as well as in the classical humanistic disciplines of history and philosophy. We offer courses in many areas, including history, economics, education, philosophy, political science, and religious studies to the more recently established American Indian, Chicana/o, and Southwestern Studies.
