Part-time Teaching Opportunities
The Legal Studies Department offers both an associate degree and a certificate of completion in Paralegal Studies. We are always interested in hearing from persons interested in serving as a part time instructor in the program. Because of the number of requests we receive from those interested in instructing, we cannot always respond to inquiries directly. Therefore, we have created this “e-info” sheet for your convenience. It should answer most of your questions.
Desired Qualifications for Paralegal Studies Program Adjunct Instructors
- A degree from an ABA approved law school
- A member in good standing of the Arizona State Bar
- Experience working with paralegals
OR
- A bachelor degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- A minimum of five years continuous and current employment as a practicing paralegal
- CLA/CP and/or RP certification
Application Procedure
You must furnish an original copy of your college transcripts directly to the Legal Studies Department. For law school graduates, you need only furnish your law school transcripts. For others, transcripts from both your bachelor degree and your master degree are required.
Additionally, applicants must include a current resume and a cover letter that clearly explains their experience working with, or as, a paralegal.
